Golden Age Simulations Monocoupe Model 90 for FSX P3D

The Monocoupe 90 was a two-seat, light cabin airplane built by Donald A. Luscombe. Introduced in June, 1934, the Model 90A was an improved version of the 1930 Model 90. Although structurally the same as the earlier airplane, it featured a number of significant improvements. In addition to improved aerodynamic streamlining, it featured a cleaner "wire braced" landing gear, mechanically actuated wing flaps, a interior cabin, and a cabin door that was 50% larger. This package represents the model 90 and the modifications made from its release in 1934 through the 1940's up to the present day. The 90 hp Lambert powered 90, the 125 and 145 Warner 90AW and the 165 hp Model 110 "Clipped Wing". A 90AW float plane is also included. The flight dynamics have been programmed to reflect the power plants of each type.

The package includes a bonus scenery add-on that converts Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport to the racing venue at Cleveland Municipal Airport, home of the National Air Races from 1929 to the advent of World War Two.

Pitcairn PA-5 Mailwing and Sport Mailwing Collection for FSX and P3D

The Pitcairn Mailwings were developed by Pitcairn to carry Air Mail for the U.S. Postal Service. Of simple and robust construction, they also had relatively benign flying characteristics.

Pitcairn also built the same aircraft in sport versions for private use. These Sport aircraft had the mail compartment removed, and a side-by-side 2-seat cockpit was fitted.

Our package contains 2 versions of the PA-5; the Mailwing and Sport Mailwing. Both powered by the Wright J-5 "Whirlwind of 220 hp. The liveries of the mail carriers represent east coast contract air mail routes 19, 20 and 25. Each livery is distressed in some way to represent working aircraft. The Sportwing versions are represented in the liveries which at one time or another graced the highly modified PA-5 designed for and flown by Harold Pitcairn.

All of the models are designed to be flown from the virtual cockpit and there is no 2D panel. Also due to the nature of the texture maps, FSX requires that SP2 be installed. Acceleration is not required. No modification to P3D 1.4 or 2.1 is required.

This package includes a bonus scenery add-on of the original Pitcairn Field and factory in Pitcairn Field 1, Bryn Athyn PA. It faithfully depicts the field as it may have been in 1927.

Golden Age Simulations New Standard Aircraft Collection for FSX and P3D V 1.4 and 2.0 with Bonus Scenery of Poughkeepsie Airport

New Standard Aircraft Corporation was the product of a partnership with airshow promoter Ivan Gates and noted aircraft designer Charles H. Day and was in existence for a brief four years, producing a total of about 100 +airplanes. Sixty-two of these were the memorable D-25 series which was the ultimate barnstormer's airplane. It achieved a reputation far out of proportion to its numbers. The D-25, in addition to hopping untold thousands of passengers, was put to work at a variety of tasks and performed each one well. Several of the single seat variants left the factory equipped for carrying mail, for agricultural applications, and for aerial advertising. Some of the five-place versions were field-modified to similar configurations.

Included in the package is a bonus scenery add-on of the original Poughkeepsie Airport in Red Oaks Mill NY which for a time was operated by aviation legend Johnny Miller and was, after the closure of the New Standard Company a factory for restoration and repair of New Standard Model D's many of which were bent out of shape by bootleggers using the D 25 to run liquor from Canada to the US during the depression. There is also a download link in the user's manual for a free copy of the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome scenery add-on.

Golden Age Simulations Great Lakes Sport Biplanes for FSX/P3D

In 1929, the Great Lakes Aircraft Company (GLAC) was formed in Cleveland, Ohio at the former site of the Martin Aircraft Company. They built civilian biplanes, float planes, as well as biplane torpedo bombers under contract to the US Navy. The model that most people think of today when someone says, "Great Lakes aircraft," is the enduring 2T biplane; also known as the Great Lakes Sport Trainer. At its peak, Great Lakes had as many as 650 deposits for new aircraft. With the onset of the great depression, the Great Lakes Aircraft Company went out of business closing their doors in 1936. The company built just 264 of the Sport Trainers ordered.

That would not be the end of the story for this iconic golden age flier as its timeless design has inspired others to keep the dream alive in through modification and refinement almost continuously over the decades since the original factory closed its doors. So it has inspired Golden Age Simulations to bring the Great Lakes to FSX and Prepar3D.

Golden age Simulations Stinson SR-8 Stinson Gullwing for FSX/P3D

The Reliant was built in the days when airplane was spelled with a capital "A." People liked to travel first class, in style, with all the comforts of home. Nobody was going to go anywhere if they had to suffer discomfort. When the airplane progressed to the stage where it could offer more than a rough ride and a case of pneumonia, big business began to view it in a completely new light. No longer a daredevil machine, it was now a means of travel. Affluent travelers demanded comfort even in the air, and so, the cabin airplane started out as a summer home with wings.

Golden Age Simulations has brought the Stinson ‘Gullwing” to FSX and P3D; modeling both the 245hp Lycoming R-680-B6 powered SR-8B and the 320hp Wright R-760-E2 SR-8E. The SR-8 series represented the largest production run of the various SR Gullwings produced prior to WWII.

The travel Air Type R "Mystery Ship".
